James will be at the Albuquerque Comic Expo on June 24th-26th! New Mexicans, rejoice! It can't rain all the time... but it also can't be sunny and dry all the time either, right?

Check it out!

Also, April is almost here, and you know what that means... right?! Sundown is coming soon!! Get those iPads, iPhones and Androids ready!

Oh, and one last thing. If the spring showers have you down, I have the perfect pick-me-up for you. James finally confirmed that The Crow: The Author's Edition has been scheduled to be released in July! Four months!! Get your count-down clocks ready.

Post-Krismas News!

Been doin' that celebrating thing, so it's been a while since I've checked the ol' CrowHelp email. Sorry 'bout that.

So, here's two bits of Crow news to satiate your appetites until the new year. (Can you believe it's almost 2011?! And no aliens? No flying cars?! Ah, well.)

James will be at Staple in Austin, Texas! That's March 5th and 6th, so mark your calendars. Check out Staple's website here.

So far, that's the only show I have definite confirmation for... more convention news as I get it from James.

Oh, and there is one other really cool bit of news. James is working on a motion comic called Sundown with the guys over at MotionWorks Entertainment. And this isn't some conversion job! James is working on this as a motion comic from the ground up, so check it out! There are interviews with James on the MotionWorks website, so you can hear it directly from James. Nick Cave + The Crow

Iconic musician and acclaimed screenwriter Nick Cave has come on to rewrite the script.

The Big News

James has wanted to release The Crow: Author's Edition since 1998. It will contain at least 60 pages of new material that no one has ever seen. Half of that are pages that had to be removed for space reasons. James describes the additions as including more romance flashback scenes between Eric and Shelly, as well as sequences which will make the work more visually interesting

Pocket Books currently owns publication rights to the book, and they have postponed the Author's Edition until their sales of the current graphic novel drop below 25,000 copies per year. They contacted James last month and told him it was time.

James is now going back and editing in all the original pages. Some of them had been given as gifts to friends or sold, so some pages James is having to redraw from scratch. This is also giving him the chance to redraw some other things he was never really satisfied with in the original books.

Don't worry, this isn't the case of some George Lucas ruining the originals!! This is stuff that was really supposed to be in the originals. You're going to love it!

I'll let everybody know when it's getting close to publishing time on here, so be sure to watch this page! The minute I have an exact release date, I'll be letting you know!

Sidenote: James is a bit overwhelmed right now working on this, so it'll be a while before he can accept any new commission work.
