If you're on the other side of the pond, get ready for an ultra-rare European appearance for James! He's been invited to attend the festival gotico y terror de malaga... which is apparently Spanish for something-something-something-Darkside, or something like that. Anyway, James will be in Spain on February 4th - 6th at this event. If you need a passport to get into Spain, I suggest getting started on that as quick as you can!
Here's the website for the convention-o: http://festivalgoticoyterrordemalaga.wordpress.com/
Also, while he's there, James will be doing a signing at el mono arana comics. I don't have exact times, but you can contact them directly if you're in that area. Here's their website: http://www.xn--elmono-araa-beb.com/contactanos.html
And one last bit of news for you: It was like pulling teeth, but I finally got James to tell me more about the Author's Edition of The Crow. Actually, this dental procedure happened just over a week ago, but I decided to give the Crow fans over at Facebook a bit of an exclusive head-start. (Curiousity might kill the cat, but it just annoys the Crow's Little Helper... especially when it's in the form of a whine.) So here's what I told the James O'Barr fans on Facebook last week: James came over today to print some reference material. While he was over, I specifically asked about the Author's Edition of The Crow. He said that he recently received the latest (and probably last) proof, and once he approves it the book will go to print. This means that you might be able to buy it as early as summer. No promises... I'm only repeating what was said to me.
So there you have it! If you're not a fan of James on Facebook, I recommend getting over there and joining up!
Time to practice my Spanish. Una camisa negra y una novela gráfica, por favor. Gracias, señor Cuervo chico!
